Berlin Public Toilet Finder

Find the nearest official public toilet in Berlin, including free and accessible options.

Free interactive tool by a Berlin local guide. No signup, no email needed.

Berlin has hundreds of official public toilets, but the useful one is the closest one that is open, accessible, and easy to pay for. This free tool maps Berlin public toilets and lets you calculate the nearest option from your current location or from any point you tap on the map. It is built for real tourist moments: you are near Alexanderplatz, Museum Island, Potsdamer Platz, or Tiergarten, and you need a practical answer quickly. Use the filters for free toilets, accessible toilets, and baby-changing facilities, then open the route link for walking directions.

How to Use This Tool

Allow location access and the map will calculate the nearest official public toilet in Berlin. If you prefer not to share location, tap anywhere on the map and it will calculate the nearest toilet from that point instead.

What the Map Shows

The widget uses Berlin public toilet location data and shows facilities across the city. You can filter for free toilets, accessible toilets, and baby-changing facilities before choosing the most useful option nearby.

Berlin Public Toilet Basics

  • Most city cabins cost around 50 cents. Keep small change or a card handy, depending on the cabin.

  • Some official toilets are free. Berlin has been adding free, gender-neutral cabins, but not every public toilet is free yet.

  • Station toilets are often paid and staffed. Hauptbahnhof, Friedrichstraße, Alexanderplatz, Zoologischer Garten, Ostbahnhof, Potsdamer Platz, and Südkreuz are useful backups.

  • Malls, department stores, museums, and chain cafés can save the day. They are often more comfortable than the nearest curbside cabin.

Privacy Note

Location is used by your browser only to calculate distance inside the map. The tool does not require signup, email, or an account.
